14 DAY TRIAL // Many of us grew up with Jeanne Cooper, the actress who joined time-defying soap opera “The Young and the Restless” in 1973 as Katherine Chancellor. She is now in hospital, still in critical condition but on the mend.
News of the star’s hospitalization comes straight from her actor son, Corbin Bernsen, who reached out to fans on Twitter over the weekend, saying, “Need some prayers for my mom tonight. Not doing great.”
He did not reveal what ailed his mother, but he did hint that she was in a serious condition, writing, “I don't believe it is the end of her journey, but still a very uphill battle.”
However, yesterday, his tweets took a more optimistic turn.
“All still stable this morning with mom, such a fighter. So many have noted that. Your prayers are powerful and kind words overwhelming,” Bernsen writes, thanking the millions of fans who responded to his initial message.
“Sitting bedside w/ mom, she seems comfortable, at peace & has worked so hard 2day. Having a few words that will have to last for a few days,” reads his most recent tweet at the time of writing.
