Dubbed Ice, Snowlinux 2 is based on the Debian 6 "Squeeze" operating system and it is powered by Linux kernel 2.6.32 and the GNOME 2.30 desktop environment.
Among various default packages installed in Snowlinux 2 we can mention the Chromium web browser, IceDove, Rhythmbox, OpenJDK 6 Java, and Shotwell.
