Snooki is determined to make a name for herself as an actress, is moving to LA, says report

Snooki, the pint-sized MTV reality star who shot to international fame thanks to “Jersey Shore,” is eyeing a big career in the movies, and might therefore leave her hometown to move to Los Angeles and follow her dream.

The star turned 23 a couple of days ago and, at one of her birthday bashes, the hottest topic seems to have been her aspirations of making a name for herself in the movie industry.

One spy who was at the party chatted with Radar Online, dishing out all the details: Snookster, it seems, is bent on using “Jersey Shore” as her launching pad, but she will still have to relocate to pursue her biggest dream right now.

“We were talking at her birthday party, and she said she just thought Los Angeles was a more mellow, cool place to live,” the spy says for Radar.

“She obviously loves home, but she feels California would be better because of the people. She’s kind of ready to get away New Jersey and make a change,” the same insider dishes.

Plus, it’s not just the cool factor of Los Angeles that works for Snooki right now, since she’s also set on becoming a film actress – and there’s no better place that getting a start in movies than Hollywood.

“Friends from the Shore who overheard the reality star were said to be a little offended by her Tinsel town revelation, but as she explained, the real reason for the move is because ‘she wants to work in movies and feels LA is the place to be’,” Radar writes.

As we also noted on a previous occasion, The Situation from the same reality show as Snooki also has big plans as regards his career after it ends: he too wants to be in the movies, while also giving fashion and rapping a go.

“This is just a way into the door for me. Reality is a stepping stone for me. Being one of the biggest names in reality or the country or the world or whatever, I definitely want to start moving into scripted and films in another year or two,” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was saying back in July this year.
