Snooki of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” has come a long way and she’s perhaps the first person to point that out. Not only is she the cover girl for the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine, but she’s also dreaming big, of building a business empire like Jessica Simpson.

The diminute reality star, whose riding a rocket on the cover of the iconic music magazine, says she’s not really like the world perceives her based on footage from the reality show.

That is to say, she’s not always drunk and not always partying and hooking up with guys. As she puts it, producers only leave the juicy bits in and cut everything else they believe would not make for great TV.

So far, whatever it is they’re doing has worked wonders and the reality show continues to get record ratings episode after episode.

Which, of course, explains why Snooki (real name Nicole Polizzi) really doesn’t see herself doing something other than reality television.

“When Jersey Shore ends I’m going to do more spinoffs. If MTV doesn’t want them, another network will be, like, ‘What does Snooki do now?’ or ‘Snooki’s getting married!’” she tells Rolling Stone.

“What I’d like is to turn out like Jessica Simpson, with her whole brand. She makes millions... I’m trying to build an empire, because after this I can’t get a normal job. I mean, how do I go and sit behind a desk?” Snooki asks.

On second thought, being a reality star is not really as wonderful as it seems, she confides to the mag. There are times, for instance, when she feels like she’s doing time in prison because she has no contact with the outside world.

“It messes with your head. That’s why we go crazy. That’s why we fight with each other. That’s why we drink. We’re living in a house for two months with that [stuff],” she says.

“We can’t have cellphones, TV, radio or the Internet. If the president died, we’d have no idea. There’s no normalcy. It’s just like prison, with cameras,” Snooki points out.
