14 DAY TRIAL // Snooki, star of MTV's reality show “Jersey Shore,” is pregnant with her first child. Reports about it first emerged online at the beginning of the month, but were denied by Snooki herself. Turns out, she lied.
PageSix has the inside scoop on Snooki's first pregnancy and, from what it's reporting, it looks like either she wants it to be a secret until she's ready to make a statement, or MTV is keeping a lid on it so that it can write the pregnancy into the storyline of her reality show.
According to sources close to the diminute star, she's been shopping an exclusive for about a month. Now that she got it, she doesn't want the news out there until it comes out.
“Though she has publicly denied she’s expecting, sources say 'Jersey Shore' guidette Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi is indeed pregnant and has plans to bankroll her mommy-to-be status into becoming 'the next Kourtney Kardashian',” PageSix writes.
“We’re told Polizzi, 24, is carrying her first child by boyfriend Jionni LaValle, and is roughly three months along,” adds the same tab.
Wanting to make a lot of money on the baby news exclusive isn't the sole reason why Snooki is keeping mum on the subject – even lying to various media outlets when asked for a comment.
Her spin-off with JWoww for MTV has already started shooting, and the network is said to be desperate for a “solution” to the pregnancy “problem,” given the kind of antics that made the two famous in the first place.
In other words, it's hard to shoot hour after hour of footage of them out partying, boozing and passing out when one is pregnant and the entire world knows about it.
“But sources tell Page Six that MTV is worried about how to manage the news, given that Polizzi’s hard-partying, booze-swilling ways have just been turned into a 'Jersey Shore' spinoff with Jenni 'JWoww' Farley, which has begun shooting in New Jersey,” PageSix writes.
“MTV went into crisis mode after they found out. They’re trying to hide it because it would greatly affect the creative direction of the show,” an insider is further quoted as saying.
The first photos of the two friends and hellraisers on set have already made their way online and, in most of them, Snooki is using the old handbag trick to cover her tummy.
