14 DAY TRIAL // Rebellion has announced that Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One computer entertainment systems in early 2015.
The game will also launch on PC, in an all-new, remastered, 1080p resolution, in the form of the Zombie Army Trilogy pack, containing Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 1 and 2, and the yet unreleased Zombie Army 3.
The base game is pretty serious, with a somber tone, following various conflict theaters during the events of World War 2, and proposing a more cerebral approach to the first-person shooter genre, but the spin-off is completely bonkers.
While the original campaign is satisfying, if a bit repetitive and lacking in terms of enemy AI and how the stealth system works, the new horrifying campaigns offer a slightly different experience.
Nazi Zombie Army puts players in the shoes of a one-man army going against an irradiated Nazi Germany, full of horrors, demons, undead super soldiers, and a lot of dabbling into the occult.
A different take on World War 2
The game keeps all the gameplay of the original, including the brutal slow-motion kill cam, enabling you to see the results of your shots through an X-Ray camera, but takes things to a whole other level in terms of content and mood.
You have to mow down Hitler's undead legions, and who doesn't want to kill some Nazi zombies anyway? Especially when you can also do it in cooperative mode?
The Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army Trilogy Pack will contain 15 missions and 5 horde maps to enjoy, packed with apocalyptic content.
The trilogy will have eight different playable heroes, including four new female characters. In case you haven't played any of the first two installments, you would do well to watch the trailer below, showing what happens when you corner Hitler and make him launch Plan Z into full effect.
Furthermore, players who already own the first two Nazi Zombie Army games on Steam will receive an exclusive loyalty discount, but the details have not been revealed yet.
