An updated flavor of the Snap application is now available for download for the owners of BlackBerry 10 smartphones out there, namely version 2.0.0.0.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Snap was designed to provide users with fast access to applications via the Google Play Store.

One thing that needs to be mentioned right from the start, however, is the fact that the application requires sideload, which could prove an issue for unexperienced users.

For the owners of BlackBerry 10.2.1-based handsets, the update should prove a great option to go for, since it will open the door to a great deal of new applications for their smartphones.

“Snap includes many features available in the Google Play Android app and is heavily inspired by the official app store for BlackBerry 10, BlackBerry World,” Snap’s description reads.

Snap 2.0.0.0 for BlackBerry 10 released with support for downloading apps that users have already purchased.

For that, they will simply need to log in with their Google account used for purchasing said applications, and the list of software they bought will be available for fast access.

Furthermore, the new version of the application comes with a brand new layout for the home screen, as well as with a series of general performance improvements for remote images and API calls, the available release notes unveil.

Moreover, users will enjoy a new Login UI, which was redesigned with a 2-step authentication, and which will also provide them with a link to Help & Privacy Policy.

There are also new Settings options, such as generated Android GSF ID, cache size, version number, it seems. Moreover, the new app version allows users to specify APK download location.
