Linux tablets are not very widespread, but there are some that manage to gain attention, like the Spark, which has been listed on Mak Play Live, according to Notebook Italia.

The tablet is based on the Zenithink C71 Android tablet, but it has a different operating system, based on Linux.

The LCD is a 7-inch panel optimized for capacitive multitouch, and whose resolution is of 800 x 480 pixels.

A 1 GHz ARM processor runs it, backed by 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal flash storage, plus the Mer mobile-optimized OS and KDE Plasma Active for the graphical user interface.

Additionally, 802.11 b/g wireless LAN and 3G are supported, the latter relying on a USB dongle.

The price is 200 Euro / $265 but, while pre-orders can supposedly already be set, shipments won't start for a while. The drivers aren't quite all ready yet and it will be long before this becomes a truly open project.
