Most tablets have HDMI outputs, or at least mini-HDMI ports, but for those that don’t, or for owners that want more use out of their devices, Kanex has something to offer.

In short, the company has launched a Slimport to HDMI adapter and an MHL 2.0 to HDTV adapter.

The former allows 1080p video to be streamed with 8-channel digital surround. It even has its own micro USB port, to keep the device charged.

"SlimPort is one of the most versatile and easy-to-use technologies making its debut and will allow our customers to get the most out of their mobile devices," said Kelvin Yan, president of Kanex.

The other adapter lets phones like the Samsung Galaxy SIII, S4 and Note 2 display their screens on any HDTV in the house.

It can be useful when playing a slide show of pictures taken with your phone, or videos captured with its camera.

Kanex is selling them for $30 / €22 – 30.
