Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is gearing up for the release of Ice Cream Sandwich handsets, some of the latest rumors on its plans suggested, though there is little chance that one of the soon-to-be-launched handsets will look as the HTC Bloom concept phone to the left.

Packing a large 4.7-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 720p HD resolution, the new mobile phone would certain appeal a lot to all users out there.

The handset was designed with a dual-core application processor inside, with each core clocked in at 1.8GHz, and with a wide array of other appealing features as well.

Hasan Kaymak, the designer behind this concept phone, suggests that HTC Bloom might easily accommodate a 12-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with dual LED-flash and with a 2MP camera on the front for video calling.

Moreover, the new device would be packed with Beats Audio, the same as some of the latest officially released handsets from HTC, including the Sensation XE, Sensation XL or the HTC Rezound for the United States.

The connectivity capabilities of HTC Bloom would make it even more appealing than it might already be, with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and support for 4G LTE networks packed inside it from day one.

Not to mention that it was conceptualized with Google's Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform on board, and with the HTC Sense 4.0 user interface on top of it.

Not only would the hardware capabilities of this device make it highly appealing, but the outer design it comes around with is highly impressive as well.

The handset is very thin, and its rounded edges would make it fit greatly in the palm of users' hands.

It might take a while before a smartphone that resembles this one would make it to shelves, but such handsets will certainly become available at one point in the future, all that we need to do now is to wait patiently.

In the meantime, you can admire the concept device in the photos embedded below, or have a look at more of them on the designer's Facebook page, here.
