Bethesda has just confirmed that the Creation Kit for its massively successful The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim role playing game is set to finally appear on Tuesday, February 7.

Skyrim was one of the best games released in 2011 and a key role in its success was played by the modding community, which immediately started making impressive additions to the core game developed by Bethesda.

In order to allow intrepid modders even more freedom, the company promised that it would release the Creation Kit, a more powerful set of tools that allows users to create lots of ambitious mods for the RPG.

Now, after a pretty long wait, Bethesda's Pete Hines has finally confirmed when the Creation Kit will be launched for the general public. According to a message posted by him on Twitter, the modding tool is "on track for release on Tuesday." As such, on February 7, people will finally be able to thoroughly tinker with Skyrim.

What's more, the executive also mentioned that a "special surprise" will be included alongside the Creation Kit. There's no word on what that surprise might be, so who knows what Bethesda is planning to add.
