The world famous VoIP application just moved one step ahead and is about to launch services which allow users to communicate with video support. This is definitely a sign that things are working well after Skype was bought by eBay for a hefty $2.6 billion.

The beta version of Skype 2.0 will allow users to access a much wider set of communication tools and services. Obviously, the center of attention will be Skype Video, which will enable the 70 million users of the Skype system to communicate via video calls.

According to the Skype chief exec Niklas Zennstr?m, the team behind the project hopes that this beta version will be appreciated as another step towards making communication online a much easier process while offering complex information to the other person you're talking to.

Peripheral maker Logitech and Skype had announced a few weeks ago that they will be working together on "marketing and promotional initiatives". Also, starting with this Skype Video application, the two companies will work together in order to offer better products and services that will transform users' communication experiences for the better. This means Logitech and Skype will start selling on a global scale webcams and headphones meant to be used as accessories for Skype.
