Skyforge is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game from the makers of Allods Online, the appropriately named Allods Team, in collaboration with Obsidian.

The game is a highly-stylized creation that will feature dynamic and visually stunning combat inspired by console action games, allowing players to develop their characters from immortal warriors protecting their homeworld into powerful gods that will dominate the battlefields as invincible giants.

Skyforge will benefit from a unique open class system that will allow for limitless character development. Players will have to protect the one world where all the action is taking place on from constant attacks, being offered a wide variety of gameplay options, in both solo and group PvE and PvP scenarios, as well as free exploration.

The community forums are already teeming with activity, and the developers have revealed two of the classes in Skyforge so far, the powerful Cryomancer and the noble Paladin.

Cryomancers are masters of snow and ice, wielding the latest achievements in science and engineering, a portable cryogenerator that allows them to harness the energy in the very air around them and then channel it into deadly spikes of ice and violent snowstorms with a mere thought.

They have the ability to perform powerful attacks and hardy defensive maneuvers, such as the Cryonic Pulse, Icy Missile and the Ice Statue, making them a very dangerous enemy who knows no mercy.

The Paladins are defenders of the weak and oppressed, who empower their blade with divine energy in order to bring down righteous wrath upon their enemies. The paladin's arsenal also features a powerful artifact, a seal capable of both inspiring allies in battle as well as creating serious threats for the Paladin's enemies.

The mighty warriors are capable of performing devastating attacks, as well as to engage in prolonged battles, by making use of abilities such as Righteous Blow, Seal of Light, Punishing Bolt and Celestial Shield.

The Paladin excels not only at inflicting damage to his enemies but also at protecting his friends, making him a formidable force on the battlefield and a reliable brother in arms.

Skyforge's announcement trailer managed to show a beautiful and varied world, but there are currently no details regarding the actual gameplay.

Players interested in joining the game's beta test, when it becomes available, can sign up on Skyforge's website. There is currently no word on when the game is planned to launch, but the devs have promised to reveal more information in the near future.
