The people at Skyfire who developed an application that brings all of the Internet’s Flash videos to the iPhone are announcing that those looking to grab the app should follow the company on Twitter, or frend them on Facebook, to know when the time is right to access the App Store.

Skyfire is basically a web browser for iOS devices which translates Flash videos into iPhone-friendly formats, effectively giving iDevice owners Flash support.

As reported by Softpedia earlier this week, soon after launching the elusive piece of software, Skyfire was both happy and sad to announce that overwhelming demand was making it impossible for their servers to dish out the app to everyone attempting to download.

“The last two days have been quite busy here at Skyfire to say the least,” the company’s Jeff Glueck wrote in a blog post.

“To everyone who wanted to download Skyfire for iPhone, thank you for your patience.  We are gratified there is so much interest in the product, and we’re working around the clock to add capacity for more users,” Glueck added.

Now the company says that Skyfire is up for grabs again, but don’t rush over to the App Store just yet, as the download can only be made when the time is right.

“We are going to open batches of downloads for new users over the coming days,” Jeff Glueck wrote in an update to the same blog post.

“The first batch will be in a few minutes on the Apple App Store. It will be first come, first serve,” the post reads.

At the time of this writing, the Skyfire app was available for download. It costs $2.99 and works with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Skyfire requires iOS 3.0 or later and is iOS 4.0-tested.
