Today, Skyfire announced officially the release of a new version of their Skyfire 3.0 browser for Android smartphones, with a wide range of improvements, as well as with a series of new features included into the mix.

According to the company, the new version of the application was made available for download for all devices powered by Google's Android 2.0 operating system or higher.

Among the most important features added in to the mix, we can count the inclusion of access to various Facebook features, including feed, profile, and Facebook Places, via a single button.

But this is not all, as the new browser flavor was also designed so as to make the Like button from Facebook available on any web page one accesses via the browser.

“Skyfire 3.0 puts the Facebook Like Button on EVERY PAGE of the Internet,” the company announced.

Users won't have to scroll to search for the Like button on the pages they are accessing. All that they would need to do would be to click on the Skybar Like Button, and the job is done. They will also have the option to share the page with friends on Facebook or Twitter.

Additional features of the new application version include: - Popular Content – You just finished reading a story on one of your favorite web sites and want to quickly decide what to read next. Click on the Popular button on the Skybar and instantly see what content on the site is most popular within the 500+ million user Facebook community. Recommendations from friends are prioritized and show up at the top of the list.

- Fireplace Feed Reader – A simple but addictive tool that provides a filtered list of your Facebook feed that only includes links to browsable web pages, images, and videos posted by your Facebook friends.

- Skyfire OneTouch Search – Users enter a single search term and can choose to search Google, Facebook, VideoSurf, Digg, Twitter, or Amazon with a single touch and without having to navigate to separate sites.

Users interested in trying out the new features that Skyfire 3.0 brings around should head over to the Android Market to download it.
