First review of “Skyfall” is glowing: an amazing “black comedy drama film”

“Skyfall” has been a long time coming, so we can only imagine the kind of pressure riding on the movie studio, producers and everyone else involved in the project. Luckily, a first review of the film praises it as the best of the series yet.

IMDB.com user lizze-sandy81 wrote a review of “Skyfall” on the movie-oriented page after a screening over Labor Day weekend. It’s no longer online, but Slash Film has several relevant bits from it.

According to the reviewer (who might be a regular James Bond fan or moviegoer, and not a critic), “Skyfall” looks and feels better than any other installment in the longstanding series.

The acting is brilliant (with some exceptions), the characters are well defined, while the cinematography and action scenes truly stand out.

“The best way I can describe it is that it’s a black comedy drama film, with brilliant action and fantastic performances,” lizze-sandy81 wrote.

If you don’t wish to be spoiled, “Skyfall” will be out in theaters on October 26 (the UK) and November 9 (the US).
