Not having enough space doesn't seem to be a problem for the people living here

We just stumbled upon these pictures, showing that space is of little importance when building the home of your dreams, as kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms can all be made to find their place in relatively small areas.

This particular house is presently the residence of two families in Tokyo, both of whose members quite enjoy living here in spite of the fact that, looking at this building only from the outside, one could be made to feel a tad claustrophobic.

Because the architects who came up with this design had very little ground-space available, the house ended up being nine meters high, but only two meters wide.

However, from an environmental standpoint, this unusual home can be argued to show that people living in urban areas can find sustainable and quite enjoyable living places without the need for cities to expand even further, destroying whatever natural habitats still remain standing around them.
