The new sneakers line by Sketchers has caused upset among young girls' moms, who dub the message of the promotional campaign for the brand offensive.

“Daddy'$ Money” shoes feature the dollar sign logo on the heel, Examiner writes. They are advertised as a brand for carefree school girls, as you can see in the video posted above.

Mothers fear it sends the message that girls are not independent, and do not know the value of money.

“Get spoiled with Daddy’s money, ultra cool shoes that will put you in the spotlight with a dose of swag and a 2-inch hidden wedge. [...] Get spoiled with Daddy's money, ultra cool shoes that will put you in the spotlight" are some of the commercial taglines for the “Daddy'$ Money” brand.

Do you think the campaign is harmless, or do you agree that it puts women in a bad light? Leave your response in the comments section.
