Given the fact that the popularity of IOS devices (such as the iPhone and iPad) and Android-based products is on the rise, the people over at Audiovox decided that banking on this trend is quite a good idea and thus revealed at CES 2011 no less than six different docking stations under their Acoustic Research brand, targeting specifically the families of products mentioned above.

The first device in the series is the ARS45i, a 30W docking speaker compatible with the iPad, iPhone or iPod that offers component and composite video-output and a remote control, and will arrive in stores this spring, for around 130 US dollars.

Next in line comes the iPad-friendly ARS35i, a docking solution that sports a motorized rotating arm capable of turning the iPad to landscape or portrait mode, while also providing 20 watts of power, video-output, FM radio, and audio input for MP3 player connection, while selling for around 130 US dollars in March 2011, when it will officially hit the shelves.

The Acoustic Research lineup continues with the ARS30i model, that features an LCD display, built-in FM tuner, clock, video-output, and a remote, while in the same time charging the docked iOS devices, all for 100 US dollars.

The Acoustic Research ARS20i and ARS13i target specifically iPad users, the $79.99 ARS20i offering two different viewing modes for the iPad, as well as a digital FM radio and dual wake alarm, while the $39.99 ARS13i charges the device while in use.

Last, but certainly not least, comes the ARS15 docking station targeting Android devices, that supports a wide array of tablets and smartphones and packs USB charging ports and Bluetooth technology for wireless audio streaming, all at a $69.99 price point.

"With Tablet and Smartphone sales exploding and becoming some of the fastest selling consumer electronic devices, we took an in-depth look at the Tablet and Smartphone experience and created products that would add enjoyment and entertainment to the consumer,” said David Geise, President of Audiovox Accessories Corporation.

“All six docking models are intuitively designed, and allow the consumer to enjoy premium quality sound. And at the same time, these new docking stations provide fast and convenient charging," continued Mr. Geise.
