Mini-bullhorns on parade

So... you're a sissy, right? Nobody could care less about what you say nor can they heed your tiny voice less than they already do now. Then...what's to be done to make them listen to you, whatever you might have to say? Go for a shootout - neah! Run them down while you drive your fall-apart car - nope! Set the building on fire - even more neah! One idea would be to make your words heard in the first place; yep, even though your voice can't go above -50dB, this definitely is a can do thing: NEXCONTECH's VOISTA is the device to help you improve. Nothing extraordinary in the makings of the VOISTA: it's a small, 7W portable amplifier, completely digital and weighing only 0.6 pounds - meaning it has been created from the start for you to wear it on your belt or even in one of your pockets.

Running on rechargeable batteries, the 2200MAh Li-ion unit can bark at the others for about 30 hours while the recharging time is only 3 hours. This could mean (in statistics to favor you) that you can actually shout all day long and act like a thug (at least from the audio point of view); you'll recharge your batteries while everybody is asleep (hell, they have to sleep sometime, don't they?).

This class D compact amp promises distortion-free operation of its external speaker as well as zero noise while still retaining its energy-efficient operation parameters. What's cool about the VOISTA is that you can also get some very handy accessories, provided by Nexcon as well, especially designed for use with your "thug-amp-er": shoulder and waist straps with VOISTA logo (so everybody will tremble in your face), a hand microphone - maybe for the days when you're feeling less evil and a totally awesome headset mic, whose use will definitely allow you to also pose in very martial positions while screaming your nonsense.

OK, so much for the fun and sissy-talk. Coming to more serious applications of the Nexcon's VOISTA, the device is quite a cool tool to be used by expo guides, or military, for line tours or seminars in front of large audiences or various outdoor speech needs. The 7 Watts may seem little, but I am sure that those who really know what "true" RMS means will say it's more than enough! Combine the 7 W with the 82.5 dB SPL (Sound Pressure Level) the VOISTA manages to pump out and you'll get a mini public address system; especially as you add the external input - with the help of which you can "broadcast" audio files running on an MP3 player, PMP, note PC and so much more - things with the VOISTA seem to be more and more interesting already. The price of about $175 isn't that much, should you be a professional who needs to have its voice heard everyday and who still prefers to have it amped rather than coming home with a sore throat each evening. $175 could be a fair price even if you're the sissy I've been writing in the beginning of this article (ha-ha), but you'd better take care with the VOISTA or hell knows, it could turn against you as well :)
