I think you all know the famous Sirius Sattelite Radio Starmate 4. If you don't, just get yourself informed with all the features it sports because it is a great gadget with a futuristic design and it is, of course, a portable one.

Mobile Whack just discovered that Sirius has just showcased its latest addition to the Sattelite Radio series and named it Starmate 3, which is, in fact, an enhancement brought to the previous 'jackpot', the 4.

This good looking radio is not a common one, as you will see. Similar to the Starmate 4, it is a plug-and-play radio and has almost the same design, but some more goodies that will soon hit the retail market. What kind of goodies? It has no less than 44 minutes replay power, a large LCD screen which displays all kinds of info regarding the track that is played, for example, and 100 channel FM transmitter, so you can stay tuned to Sirius' radio stations.

Other than that, "the Starmate 3 has functions like pause, rewind and fast-forward and the whole package includes receiver, vehicle power adapter, remote, vehicle antenna, vehicle dock and suction cup mount," writes Mobile Whack. The new Starmate 3 is to be retailed soon at a pretty decent price of $99.

But also in the MP3 player's world, the earth is shaking and the ground control has been taken over by BBC and, of course, the iPod. Consequently, it appears that the famous BBC is in talks with several technology developers which will create a plug-in device that turns MP3 players into digital radios.
