Stardock has announced that it plans to release a new bundle called Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity, which will allow players who have enjoyed one of the best strategy titles of 2008 to get the most out of it by packing together the original release with the two micro expansions, Entrenchment, which has been available for a few months, and Diplomacy, which is set to be launched in February 2010.

Stardock is saying that the new bundle can be obtained through the Impulse digital distribution service for just 39.99 dollars, which is quite the bargain for a deep and entertaining real-time strategy experience. Those who pre-order the new Trinity will also get access to the beta for Diplomacy, allowing them to provide feedback for the team that develops the most recent expansion.

When Sins of a Solar Empire was initially launched, Brad Wardell, who is the president of the company, said that three so-called mini expansions would be delivered to gamers but since then, the number was reduced to two, with Wardell stating that “With our current product roadmap into 2010 and beyond, we are certain fans won't be disappointed.”

Entrenchment added mine fields, starbases and more defensive options to players, permitting them to more effectively protect their star systems from marauding enemy fleets even if they lack a complete fleet of their own. Diplomacy is set to allow for more options to deal with the enemy in a non-military way and to rebalance Sins of a Solar Empire and provide a definitive version of the experience.

At the moment, Stardock, which has delivered two of the greatest space-based strategy titles, Galactic Civilizations II and its expansions, and Sins of a Solar Empire, is also working on Elemental, a turn-based strategy title set in a fantasy world.
