Media players, whether they are portable or not, don't usually have their own screens and audio generation components, since they are expected to be paired with HDTVs or speakers, but Singbox figured it was time for the SV-606 to integrated things like this anyway.

Portable media players are one of the compact devices that came into being as a result of the same technological miniaturization that spawned portable storage devices (flash drives in particular), cell phones, handheld game consoles, etc.

In fact, with how strong mobile platforms are nowadays, it is not a shock to run into a small handheld gadget that supports HD or even Full HD video playback.

In this case, however, Singbox focused on the market of audio media, designing what qualifies as a merger between a PMP and speaker.

Indeed, the new product line is more of a DAP (digital audio player) than a full-fledged PMP, what with its focus on audio file formats like MP3 and WMA.

Dubbed SV-606, it has already gotten an official web page and features a 2W mono speaker that downgrades headphones and earphones from necessary to optional accessories (a 3.5 mm jack exists).

This also means that users will be able to share entertainment with their friends or aggravate bystanders, not that Singbox condones this of course.

In addition to this feature, Singbox threw in an FM tuner and a microSD card. The latter is essential, seeing as how there is no integrated storage, so only through memory cards will songs be ready to play.

All the above are packed inside casings that resemble pepper shakers and measure 85mm in height and 35mm in width.

As for color options, there are quite a few nuances, like blue, silver, two shades of purple, black, ocre, brown and beige, all of them with a glossy treatment for extra effect.

They all should be able to carry out their intended task for a period of up to 13 hours before the battery is depleted. Unfortunately, pricing details are unavailable at the moment.
