SimulScribe, the U.S. provider of voicemail-to-text services, announced the launch of SimulSays, a free voicemail application for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile devices. Currently in beta stage, the application allows users to easily listen to their voice messages by simply selecting the desired message from a scrollable list displayed on the phone's screen, without having to dial any number to access their voicemail inbox.

SimulSays resides in the phone's memory and notifies users whenever new messages are available, even when the application is closed. SimulSays integrates with the mobile phone's contact book and allows users to reply to the known caller's message by phone, text message or e-mail. Users can access their voicemail messages from a list, or alternatively, they can choose to listen to a message at random with just one click on the mobile device.

When combined with SimulScribe's voicemail-to-text service, SimulSays allows users to read their voicemail messages from within the application. Users can have their messages transcribed for $9.95/month for 40 messages and $0.25 per message, following a period of 7 days of free transcription.

SimulScribe's voice transcription service converts voicemail to text and delivers it via e-mail or SMS. Voicemail transcribed through SimulScribe's technology is delivered in near real-time with the caller's phone number in the e-mail subject line, transcribed voice message in the body and an attached audio file of the original message. SimulScribe provides unlimited voicemail box storage and the voice recognition system has a transcription accuracy of over 95 percent.

"We strive to deliver voicemail in better, easier and more useful ways," said James Siminoff, founder and CEO of SimulScribe. "SimulSays Beta was created to give our customers better control of their voicemail, saving them time and money. SimulSays Beta is ideal for people looking to add visual voicemail functionality to their existing mobile phones without having to purchase an Apple iPhone."

SimulSays is currently available for over-the-air download on BlackBerry devices at mobile.SimulSays.com. The current version is compatible with Blackberry 8800 and Blackberry Pearl offered by mobile carriers AT&T and T-Mobile. Versions for additional mobile platforms will be launched in the coming months.
