Silverstone seems to be almost ready for the release of its Raven RV01 chassis, already announced at Computex this year. The new chassis is set for launch on November 18th in China, in line with that of Intel's Core i7 processors. Besides a futuristic design, the Raven RV01 includes a lot of features and technology innovations, and is expected to be quite an affordable product, costing only $179, yet the price may vary in different countries.

The features list of the new Silverstone Raven RV01 chassis starts with the 90 degree motherboard mounting, which is said to allow for the heat generated by the graphics card to rise naturally. The chassis features dual 180mm silent fans and a 120mm fan meant to ensure a natural airflow, while the layout also includes a positive pressure design. More characteristics include optional liquid cooling support and six removable hard drive trays with hot-swappable SATA adapter.

The exterior of the chassis is made out of reinforced plastic and steel, in a black encasement which includes a sliding front door meant to prevent components from affecting the exterior styling. Inside, SSI EEB, SSI CEB, Extended ATX, ATX and Micro ATX motherboards can be placed. The chassis also features USB 2.0 ports, IEEE 1394 port, as well as audio and microphone port, and is also compatible with expansion cards up to 12 inches. The I/O ports are placed on top, offering quick and convenient access to users.

When announcing the Raven RV01 chassis project, the Silverstone team promised it would exceed classic originals in boldness and intention. The chassis proves that they have managed to keep their word. The new product has an aggressive styled outer shell, yet it features a revolutionary layout for the interior as well. According to the company, its Raven RV01 chassis is one product meant to stand on its position through a few generations of computer component upgrades.
