Universal Series Bus flash drives stopped being amazing years ago, but every once in a while, they get a new perk that makes them stand out again. This year, it's OTG support, which both of Silicon Power's new models sport.

Well, it's not really accurate to say that Silicon Power launched two new flash drives. More like it released two new series of them.

After all, both the X10 and T01, as the newcomers are called, come in multiple capacities, specifically 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB for the former and 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB for the latter.

The SP X10 works on USB 2.0 and is colored Champagne gold. It is made of metal with a plastic cap over the micro-USB port.

It is compatible with PC with Windows Vista/7/8 PC operating systems, Max OS 10.3.x and Linux 2.6.x, plus Android 4.1 or better (for mobile devices).

Also, it measures 30.7x 12.05 x 4.55 mm / 1.20 x 0.47 x 0.17 inches and weighs 3.5 grams / 0.12ounces.

The T01, meanwhile, can be split into the regular USB flash drive Touch T01, and an OTG Adaptor 110. The latter has a multi-functional detachable design.

The adapter actually works with any OTG supported USB flash drive, not just the Silicon Power T01.

That said, the T01 is fully compliant with the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 specification and measures 24.7 x 13.8 x 4.6 mm / 0.92 x 0.54 x 0.18 inches. It also weighs 2.6 grams / 0.09 ounces.

As for the OTG adapter, it measures 16.75 x 15.3 x 7.92 mm / 0.65 x 0.60 x 0.31 inches and weighs 2.5 grams / 0.08 ounces.

In layman terms, both the X10 and T01 are so small and light that you'll quickly forget they're even there. That said, the T10 is colored black and has the same OS support as the X10.
