The company thought of how the horse is regarded as a symbol of courage and dignity

The Chinese are known for being very productive but also for their long-standing folklore and legends. It is one of the oldest themes in their culture that Silicon power decided to draw upon.

The Chinese Zodiac has a 12-year cycle, and each year has one animal tied to it.

The Year of the Horse is the seventh in the cycle and means courage and dignity. It is also used as an icon to express enthusiasm and determination.

Silicon Power used that symbol when it made the Firma F80 "2014 Year of the Horse Special Edition" flash drive.

The drive has a metallic, cap-less, atypical design with COB (Chip On Board) technology, allowing 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB to be crammed on something smaller than a finger.

Sadly, USB 3.0 is not supported, only USB 2.0/1.1. At least it's sturdy (water, dust and shock proof). Silicon Power is selling the newcomer with a 60-day trial version of NIS (Norton Internet Security), but no prices are known for now.
