It has a 360-degree swivel design and a diamond-checked pattern

The flash drive market has just welcomed Silicon Power's latest invention, or rather has to brace itself for the arrival of the company's latest creation, known by the name of Blaze B30.

Blaze B30 sounds like some sort of super-fast storage unit, and we suppose that the USB 3.0 interface gives it a certain level of competence in that area.

Truth be told, though, you shouldn't expect it to be any faster than all the other USB 3.0 flash drives on the market.

Apparently, Silicon Power knows this, because it didn't give any read and write speeds, and placed greater emphasis on design and capacity.

To be fair, though, the company's designers did put a nice effort into ensuring aesthetic value if nothing else.

Thus, the Blaze B30 gained an “elegant diamond-checked pattern” that makes it look “jewel-like.”

The flash drive also has a 360-degree swivel mechanism. Since it's capless, the USB port had to be protected in another way, hence the metal bracket, of sorts. It should be able to rotate over 5,000 times without breaking or otherwise taking damage.

On that note, the temperatures under which the product can safely function are 0°C – 70°C.

Silicon Power also included a LED status indicator and bundled the Recuva File Recovery software (can recover erased photos, documents, music files, videos, etc.).

As for capacity, it can be of 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB, with no impact on size or looks. In all cases, the drive is colored black, weighs 14.8 grams / 0.52 oz and measures 53.7 x 18.0 x 10.3 mm / 2.11 z 0.70 x 0.40 inches.

The Silicon Power Blaze B30 supports all Windows versions from XP onwards (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8), plus Mac OS 10.3x and Linux 2.6.x. Sadly, no price is known.
