Coming from a young and ambitious Romanian development team, Silent Hunter III made a name for itself by offering gamers a complete submarine simulation experience. Once the second title failed to climb the sale charts, Ubisoft Romania got the franchise for a complete makeover and the result was astonishing. Similar to real life, on board the massive U-boats of the World War II, every wrong move can be fatal as you need skill and anticipation to outmaneuver your enemies. Ubisoft sent out a press release announcing the next installment Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific. The game should be available for PC next year, in spring.

Duty calls players to the depths of the Pacific Ocean, part of the crew of an American submarine. The tactical elements that made Silent Hunter one of the best combat sim on the market are ever present, along with immersive graphics and sound that preserve the real-like feeling of the environment. Victory in the Pacific does not come cheap. Engaged in massive naval battles, players must manage an entire sub crew; earn promotions and commendations to strengthen their team.

Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific features immersive single player gameplay with diverse mission objectives and events scattered over more than 15 maps. As with its predecessor, crew evolution is a nice touch since each soldier can be upgraded and advance in rank to further improve his combat capabilities. New online adversarial and cooperative modes will be available, where up to eight players can join forces on LAN or via the internet. To this end, the developers assure players that highly scripted, randomly generated mission types will confer great replayability to the unique online battles.
