A lot of fans are excited by the playable P.T. demo, which revealed the existence of a new Silent Hills title that Hideo Kojima is working on, and it seems that the coming game might involve aliens on some level or at least an organization with extraterrestrial influences.

The experience features a radio which is broadcasting a mysterious message that has been decoded by a group of fans, who are saying that it is entirely rendered in Swedish and says, according to NeoGAF:

“Close your eyes. Let your ears listen, to the radio. Do you hear my voice? Can you hear your own soul's scream? Let us choose. My voice that tells the future. Or your tortured… Well, what do you choose? You can choose. Your life, your future. Wise as you are you might already have discovered it. Yes, the radio drama from 75 years ago was true.”

It goes on to add, “They are here on our earth and they monitor and see all. Don't trust anyone. Don't trust the police. They are already controlled by them. That's the way it has been for 75 years now. Only our best… You have a right. A right to become one of us. So, welcome to our world. Very soon the gates to a new dimension will open. 2-0-4-8-6-3. 2-0-4-8-6-3.”

It’s unclear what the numbers at the end of the message refer to, but the fan groups will probably continue to search for meaning and try and find out more about what other elements of the P.T. demo might hint at.

The tone of the radio transmission and the context suggest that the developers might be pointing to the War of the Worlds transmission that took place in the late ‘30s.

The program that was created by Orson Wells was so realistic that it caused some listeners to believe that the world was really under attack from alien creatures, although modern accounts tend to exaggerate the panic that supposedly ensued.

The Silent Hill franchise has previously involved aliens in some ways, although the transmission seems to suggest that they might not be coming from the stars but rather from somewhere else on Earth.

Silent Hills is being created by Hideo Kojima and also involves Guillermo Del Toro.

The pair has not offered any details on the story or the mechanics of the new title, and more information might be delivered during the coming Tokyo Game Show.
