Perhaps Resident Evil 5 will find its place on Nintendo's gaming device

Akira Yamaoka, Konami's brilliant composer has recently expressed his opinion on the appeal of the Silent Hill titles for the average Nintendo Wii fans. In an interview with Wired, the chief composer who created the scores I listen to every day when I'm trying to find the inspiration for my reviews, has shown that Silent Hill 5 will be all battle and tense action.

Akira Yamaoka also mentioned that the "Wii user is not a hardcore user", mostly because he'll never get used to wielding the Wiimote in a violent horror survival title. While this has worked incredibly well in the case of Resident Evil 4 and its acclaimed Blaster, things could turn up a bit different in case Konami decides to port their neverending franchise. So, the producer decided to focus mainly on next-gen platforms, as they feature the best graphics and audio experience and use a control system that's intuitive for most gamers.

Yamaoka didn't hesitate to emphasize the importance of the Nintendo Wii in the world of casual games, as it's practically the most important console supporting such titles. Of course, as the man stated, Nintendo's top-selling gaming device has potential and Yamaoka mentioned that using the remote "as a flashlight or a knife" is an option we should take into consideration. We're in the land of all... impossibilities it seems, when it comes to decent horror survival titles on the Wii so we've yet to wait for a decent scare if we own one of these consoles.

Maybe those guys over at Capcom will be more friendly considering the fact that RE4 sold extremely well in its Wii version and we'll perhaps see a fifth title being made available on Nintendo's console. Of course, if you had a chance to check out Resident Evil 5's trailer, you should know that its graphics are way beyond possibilities of the Wii, so we'll either play a "dumbed" down version or a specially created RE new title.
