Sigma has just officially announced the release of new USB lens dock for Pentax and Sony mounts.

Until now, the USB dock has only been available for Nikon, Canon and Sigma mounts, but not anymore, as the company is extending its portfolio to cover a new set of cameras. In the US, it retails for only $59 / €43.

The USB dock is quite handy when you’re planning to perform quick lens firmware update and focus adjustments too.

The newest Sigma lens which includes the latest 50mm f / 1.4 Art are compatible with the USB dock. Sigma has just announced the lens, but they will be shipping out to customers starting April 25.

The following Pentax K-mount lenses are also compatible with 30mm F1.4 DC HSM “Art,” 35mm F1.4 DG HSM “Art,” 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC HSM “Contemporary,” 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM “Art” and 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM “Contemporary.”

But that’s not all, Sigma is also releasing a new version 1.2.0 of the Sigma Optimization Pro software, that’s set to come out on April 18. The package will include a profile for the new Sigma 50 f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens, which can currently be purchased from Adorama for $949 / €686.
