CES 2014 was the first important electronics show of the year, where camera and optics manufacturers revealed quite a few new products that will be launched in a few months.

Among the other manufacturers, Sigma has introduced its latest 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM and 50mm F1.4 DG HSM lenses.

While at that time the lens maker had not revealed the price and availability of these new optics, Sigma UK has announced that the recommended retail price in the United Kingdom for the18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens is £349.99 / €425 / $580.

This is quite high if we take into consideration that the same optic is now available for pre-order at BHphoto for only $399 / €300 / £242.

Sigma has also revealed that the Canon version will be the first one available starting February, while the Nikon mount will arrive in March. Sony and Pentax camera users will have to wait a little bit more for this new lens, as the company said that the new 18-200mm optic for these mounts would hit market shelves in May.
