Another perfectly replicated bank website awaits potential victims

A phishing operation spotted on the Internet successfully replicates the official website of the Siam Commercial Bank, in the attempt to lure customers into giving away their credentials.

Zscaler noticed the website which replicates the legitimate page almost perfectly, only two main aspects differentiating the rogue location from the genuine one.

First of all, the fake is registered to a free domain, a clear indication that something is fishy as no financial institution would do such a thing.

The second clue that the site is not real is the fact that the operations performed are not secured by an SSL encryption.

Always check for the two marks as they can always give away a phishing expedition no matter how precisely designed the hoax is.
