With HD chip and extra PCI Express slots

After the dues paid by so many well-known manufacturers, here comes Shuttle with its latest small form factor (SFF) computer built specially for Intel's Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme processors. The computer runs on the 975X Express chipset and is able to support up to 8 GB of RAM and four hard drives and dual PCI Express graphics cards.

"Even though the Intel Core 2 Duo promises to use less electricity than previous generation chips, you're still going to need power for all the extra stuff in the Shuttle box and 400 watt PSU is included with the P2 3700. The computer uses Shuttle's Integrated Cooling Engine which separates the interior into cooling zones and blasts hot air out of the back and side vents," commented TG Daily.

And if you choose Shuttle's latest computer, you will benefit from an enhanced High Definition (HD) audio processor, which is compatible with Dolby PC Entertainment audio function, and an additional extra PCI Express slots. More exactly, no less than two x16 PCI Express slots are available for you to configure dual ATI X1900GT CrossFire cards for extra graphical power.

The Shuttle P2 3700 is currently available on the Shuttle website with prices starting from $1450.

But earlier last month, Shuttle silently launched the XPC Barebone SK22G2, which sports PCI Express architecture and AMD processors. More exactly, this is, in fact, a new addition brought to the G2 -series of Shuttle XPCs that comes with enhanced features.
