IT companies frequently release one item or two intended for a particular part of the consumer base, but Shuttle decided this would be one of those times when it releases products for two distinct segments.

Shuttle is a company that tends to give its systems more compact frames than those one would normally expect from the actual sort of computers they are.

The two newest configurations to make their appearance continue this trend, having fairly unassuming, even meek, cases while the insides thrum with power.

The newcomers are dubbed Shuttle H7 5800G Pro and H7 5800P Pro and are, respectively, gaming-oriented and built to act as a workstation.

The H7 5800P Pro features the Intel Core i7 950 quad-core central processing unit or the Core i7 975, for clock speeds of 3.06 GHz or 3.33 GHz.

Whatever chip is chosen has between 4 GB and 16 GB of DDR3 RAM (random access memory) backing it up, plus the aid of an AMD FirePro V3700 or NVIDIA Quadro 4000 professional graphics card. Shuttle also threw in an HDD of 500 GB (can be replaced by an SSD).

Meanwhile, the Shuttle H7 5800G Pro gaming machine has the Core i7 950 or the 3.33 GHz Core i7 980X Extreme Edition, while graphics are covered by NVIDIA GeForce (up to 580) or AMD Radeon (up to 6970) boards.

As with the other one, up to 16 GB of RAM are present, plus similar storage option (500 GB HDD or an SSD).

For both, users with high standards can swap the base storage solution with a 2TB model and can even put an extra (also of up to 2TB) in the secondary bay.

The Shuttle H7 5800G Pro and H7 5800P Pro have the same starting price ($1,299.99) and have already been listed on their maker's website.
