Shuttle has just finished developing its latest gaming oriented SFF system. And as always, after the development part, the launch party arrives. Yes, the 1337 SDXi is officially out, at least when taking into account what Shuttle's website says about the product. The all-new 1337 SDXi manages to pack a powerful punch with some exotic hardware goodies coming as optionals such as a quad-core processor and single or dual graphic cards configurations.

Aside from the fact that the SFF can actually host a QX6700 CPU without burning up in flames, the system can be preconfigured with two choices regarding the graphics subsystem. The choices include two AMD ATI Radeon X1950 Pro graphic cards in CrossFire mode or a single NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX. The SFF also includes 2GB of Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800 memory and a single Western Digital Raptor 150GB hard drive. Nice additions to an already powerful system. However, we would have really enjoyed a Raid 0 configuration with two Raptors.

In addition to the outstanding hardware, Shuttle treats the 1337 SDXi to a new flame paintjob using glossy automotive paint. The result is somewhat similar to the final paint on a car that has been seriously "pimped". So if you like the visual tuning part, you'll enjoy your SFF even more. The PC can also be equipped with internal liquid-cooling if you choose the Crossfire setup. The cooling can be housed inside the case and is maintenance free. The price however makes it stand out in the crowd. In case you want it, you'll have to pay $3499 for a dual-core Core 2 Duo E6600 CPU based SFF.
