As everybody hurried up to be where the IT world is these days - at Computex Taipei 2006 - Shuttle Inc decided to launch four new products during the event, completing in this way the series of Shuttle XPC, informs Hardware News.

As the series has specific targets - media center, home, business and enthusiast - Shuttle's latest products have been produced to meet all the requirements and, moreover, to enhance the traditional features and design. Shuttle's Ken Huang, chief designer and architect of the XPC described the new additions as "some of the most radical and innovative designs created by Shuttle since the original XPC."

The first product released was the M2000, which is the latest XPC Media Center model including Intel Viiv technology to deliver enhanced digital entertainment experience, and Intel 945GT chipset plus a Core Duo CPU to power the features of Microsoft's Windows XP Media Center Edition operating system. Also present is NVIDIA's GeForce 7600GS graphics processor, which delivers almost perfect images for out of the ordinary experiences while gaming, watching TV or DVD movies.

The XPC X100 is said to be the smallest SFF PC ever from Shuttle, as it has a size of an A4 sheet of paper or a magazine, and a height of only five centimeters. Moreover, the system is configurable with Intel Core series processors (either single or dual core) and up to 2GB of DDR2 memory allowing the system to be customized to meet the requirements of any home or office. As the other Shuttle product, this one also delivers great images because of the dedicated graphics processor developed by ATI and 3D performance.

The Shuttle XPC Barebone SS31T is a cost-efficient product targeting business users, with a lower price than other similar devices on the market. Based on the nanoBTX standard, the XPC SS31T utilizes standardized components (including power supply and thermal module) making it a low cost, easy to maintain system for large installations.

The new leader in the XPC enthusiast range, the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN27P2 features the latest technology for the AMD platform. Because it is based on NVIDIA's nForce 570 Ultra MCP, the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN27P2 includes most of the high-performance features that are required in a leading gaming system or high-productivity workstation, such as PCI Express x16 graphics, SATA 3Gb/s with RAID, eSATA, and Gigabit LAN.

The latest models in the Shuttle series will be available in 3Q 2006. Price and availability have not yet been disclosed.
