Shuttle announced the launch of a new barebone computing system from the XPC product family and this time it is based on the Intel G33 Express chipset and it comes packed with advanced design lines, lots of features and it is based on the latest technologies available. The new Shuttle XPC comes with the same metal casing made of brushed aluminum that became the trademark of the Shuttle barebone computer systems a long time ago. The ''Deluxe'' designation of this new product shows the increased performance and more advanced features offered to its users.

Like most Shuttle barebone computer systems, the new XPC SG33G6 Deluxe comes equipped with the latest Intel Core 2 range of processing units in order to allow users to scale the performance and cost of the units according to their needs. Based on a mainboard which integrates an Intel made chipset, the new XPC barebone also comes with the integrated graphics solution, Intel GMA 3100, that sports a HDMI output.

The XPC SG33G6 barebone system comes with a large amount of random access memory, as the mainboard is able to accommodate up to 4GB of DDR2 memory running at a standard clock frequency of 800MHz, placed in a dual channel configuration. Integrated into the new barebone there is a fingerprint reader located in the front part of the case for easier access. On the networking department, there is a Gigabit wired Ethernet interface as well as a wireless network interface card, while the presence of the Bluetooth 2.0 adapter allows users to quickly connect smartphones, headsets and other peripherals to the host computer system. The presence of a Speed-Link function allows the direct transfer of files between two computers using only a special USB cable. A number of high speed USB 2.0, FireWire and external Serial ATA ports are also present.

Users who want an increased graphics performance, that is above the level offered by the integrated video solution, can easily expand the XPC barebone system as it contains a PCI Express x16 expansion slot which is able to accommodate the latest discrete graphics solutions. A legacy PCI port is also present and it can house older add-on cards and peripherals.

The Shuttle XPC SG33G6 Deluxe barebone computer system also comes with a high-energy efficiency power supply unit, which is rated for a maximum output of 300W. Thanks to this high PSU, the XPC is able to operate in a stable manner even after the addition of a high end discrete graphics card. A high definition audio system with support for 8 channel sounds integrates technologies like Dolby Digital Live! and DTS Connect in order to deliver a crystal clear sound experience.
