If you want to feel fresh faced and a shave just doesn't do the trick, some barbers in China can shave the inside of your eyelids too.

According to Daily Mail, cleaning one's eyes by means of shaving is a deep-rooted tradition in the country, although not many barbers practice it anymore.

Pictured above, a man is getting his eyes scrubbed at a park barber stand in Chengdu city, Sichuan province.

To starts off the procedure, the client has a blade go over his eyeballs, after which a small, but still terrifying rod is used to scrape the interior part of his upper and lower eyelids.

This ritual is not only related to hygiene, it is meant to give customers a clearer, more positive outlook on life.
