The same one used in their LCD TVs.

All-in-one. That is probably the expression that best describes what you will get for your money if you decide to buy such a mobile handset.

As it usually happens in the case of Japanese mobile phones, besides being a mobile mean machine, this device also has the looks that will make you want to throw away the piece of crap you have in your pocket (I certainly would if I'd get my hands on the W51SH).

Let's talk features now. The handset features Digital TV, TiVo and, just to have it all and not miss even the minor detail, they have also put in a media center. The users will be able to record TV shows right on the device and prepare them for later viewing just in case they're too busy to watch them on the spot.

If you wonder why there are so many video related technologies on a cellphone, a device that as everybody knows, usually doesn't live up to the challenge of displaying high quality images from the video source, you should read the title of this article again and imagine an LCD TV panel shrunk down in size, down to a 3 inch wide phone display, and stuck on your cellphone.

I suppose that now, you won't think again that the Japanese do things carelessly. No, if they want to make something good, they will work on it until it will become almost perfect and, from my point of view, the handset I'm writing about here is a dream for the TV maniacs out there and one of the best, if not the best, multimedia TV enabled phones on the market.

The future owners will also get voice-assisted GPS technology with a very easy to use 3-D interface, a 2 megapixel digital camera, TV out, USB connectivity and a microSD memory expansion card slot in case you run out of memory after recording to many TV shows.

The W51SH will be released in Japan, probably on KDDI- the place where the non-AQUOS version has also been launched, and it will come in a body size of 50 x 109 x 23 mm, a weight of 136 grams and three different colors.

Do you think I'm a little hyped up about these Japanese designed phones? You are right and I declare myself guilty of having too much good taste in cellphones (and a slight Japanese mania I suffer from since the first time I saw what their designers are capable of :) ).
