Samsung isn't the only one with specialized displays ready to rumble

Sharp has many professional displays to its name, so it didn't mind adding a few more, especially with the 2012 Digital Signage Expo underway.

Like Samsung, Sharp has secured a booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada, booth #1300 to be exact.

Instead of just digital signage products, though, Sharp came up with professional LED-backlit LCD monitors of 60 inches, 70 inches and 80 inches.

To get it out of the way, the outdoor signage panel is the 60-inch PN-A601, mainly for shopping malls, transportation hubs, campuses and sports/entertainment facilities.

It has full HD resolutions (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and a brightness of 2,000 cd/m2, plus local dimming.

The PN-E series is the monitor line for more or less every situation imaginable where such things can be of use.

All three aforementioned sizes are covered and Sharp even implemented protective overlays, 24/7 certified operation and 3-year on-site limited warranty.

There is also the PN-V602 Video Wall Monitor, a 60-inch panel with full-array LED backlighting, a DCR (dynamic contrast ratio) of 1,000,000:1 and a brightness of up to 1,500 cd/m2.

“The products we are showcasing demonstrate Sharp’s dedication to bringing high quality, energy efficient technology to the digital signage space,” said Doug Albregts, president, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America.

“From professional LED displays to interactive display systems to video wall displays, all of the products we are presenting at Digital Signage Expo are designed to help businesses effectively and efficiently communicate in an integrated way.”

Unfortunately, Sharp did not give any information on the prices of any of these but, then again, knowing them won't really help us regular people much, since we are never going to buy them. Either way, it is clear enough that businesses interested in them will have to pay significant amounts of cash.
