Sharkoon has just introduced a batch of new additions to its Rebel9 chassis lineup, specifically four mid-tower models that build upon the design of their predecessors and also come with added features. The company is offering four distinct models, each featuring enough room for users to implement whatever configuration they wish. The models launched by the company are the Rebel9 Pro Economy, Rebel9 Pro Value, Rebel9 Aluminum and Rebel9 Nightfall.

The Rebel9 Pro builds upon the design of the Rebel9 but has also undergone a full revision. While staying at roughly the same market sales price, the new product boasts a full series of improvements. The housing top panel is equipped with two USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port, as well as headphone and microphone ports.

The case has a black interior and exterior lacquer, as well as a synthetic front panel that consists of screens and an air intake in the mesh design. The frame edging is made of high-gloss stainless steel and can house up to nine 5.25-inch bays. 3.5-inch drives will be installable through the use of enclosed, decoupled mounting angles or suitable installation frames, such as the Sharkoon HDD Vibe-Fixer.

The most noteworthy element, however, is the case's mainboard retention system. Cables can be hidden between the mainboard's mounting Brackets and the side panel, for an unobstructed air circulation, through a cable slot. In addition, there is quite a bit of space below the CPU cooler, making it easy to remove and replace, without having to remove the motherboard. In addition, most hardware installations can be done tool-free and the PSU is set at the bottom. All intake vents are protected by removable dust filters.

Rebel9 Pro Economy is similar to the Pro, but comes without any fans, although it does have brackets for five spinners. The Rebel9 pro value edition comes with three such fans, one being a front-mounted 120mm spinner, with a blue LED, and the other two being normal 120mm fans set on the side and at the back. The Rebel9 Aluminum only has one such fan, placed at the front. Finally, the Nightfall chassis also has a single, front-mounted 120mm fan, but, besides only 5.25-inch bays, it also has a removable, 3.5-inch cage for up to five such drives.

The Sharkoon Rebel9 Series cases come with prices of 45.99 Euro for the Pro Economy, of 59.90 Euro for both the Pro Value and Aluminum, and of 49.99 Euro for the Nightfall.
