Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling know each other from starring together on the hit TV series “Beverly Hills 90210,” and despite the former’s hasty departure from the show and reports of vicious on-set fights between cast members, she still has nothing but love for her former mates.

In recent years, Tori has reinvented herself as a reality star, with her most recent show documenting the aftermath of a huge cheating scandal featuring her husband and some woman he met in Canada while on a business trip.

After 2 seasons, he is ready to say goodbye to the camera crew, but Tori will continue because, as she put it several times, she has nothing much in terms of earning an income but her reality TV career.

Even so, watching her on TV breaks Shannen’s heart “a little,” she says in a new interview with Meredith Vieira, as the video below can confirm.

This isn’t the first time that she admits to watching Tori’s reality show or to feeling sorry for her, but Shannen makes it clear this time too: she’s not judging her former friend.

“Putting it out there must be cathartic for her, it's her way of dealing with it, that's her form of therapy. The show I get uncomfortable at times watching it because I know her. I kind of want to go, ‘No, no, no.’ We all stumble and we all make mistakes and we all have our own process,” she explains.

Ironically, this is the very reason Tori gave for her True Tori Lifetime docuseries (aka her reality show, just with a more fancy description): she said that her reality show was therapy and that the only way she could have closure was by airing all her dirty laundry in public. In the process, she would also get paid, so that was a double win for her.
