Klei Entertainment has just released a brand new video with gameplay from the upcoming Shank 2 title, showcasing a bit of the fine-tuned combat mechanics that are included in the new side-scrolling brawler.

Shank 1 amazed lots of gamers through its unique visual style and its gory combat, although there were quite a few things that annoyed some players, like the combat or the boss battles that relied only on gimmicks.

Now, with Shank 2, Klei Entertainment, its developer, is trying to address every issue, confirming that a tweaked combat system, better boss fights and a special cooperative survival mode will be included.

In order to showcase this, the studio has now posted a new video, which shows off some uncut gameplay footage, with a variety of attacks, lunges and executions, not to mention the addition of all-new health orbs, which replace the old bottles of unknown liquid from the first game.

Check out the video below and get ready for Shank 2’s appearance early this year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
