Blame Canada

Everybody is looking forward to Nintendo's next-gen console, the Wii, including South Parks' Cartman. Some want it so bad that they'll do anything to get one, including placing a shady-looking pre-order.

One of those shady pre-orders was available at Toys R Us Canada, according to Kotaku. They reveal that one Toys R Us Canada deal turned out be fake. To be more exact, Toys R Us launched a Wii pre-order deal for just US$ 280 and for this money, you were supposed to get a console and an extra controller. Unfortunately, this offer has been pulled from the Canadian shop, and has been replaced with another offer worth the same US$ 280. This new offer is poorer than the previous one, as you will get only the console, no more extra controller.

Down under in Australia, some pre-order wise guys, posted an announcement reading that if you place your pre-order, you will get a free game. This free game presumably was any game of your choosing but on further Kotaku investigation, they found out that the game was a free copy of Open Season. Game which is not Twilight Princess, need I say more?
