About a week ago, I reported on how a kitten no older than one month was set on fire and abandoned in a park in Philadelphia.

Despite his having lost his ears because of the ordeal he was made to go through, Justin, as this kitten is named, is still fighting for his life.

Sources say that, as surprising as this may sound, the kitten has shown interest in playing. Veterinarians take this as a good sign and hope that the feline will eventually make a full recovery.

“He’s doing remarkably well – but he’s not out of the woods yet,” Anne Trinkle, the current executive director of Animal Alliance told members of the press.

Justin is being given both antibiotics and appetite stimulants. As well as this, veterinarians are constantly tending to his wounds.

By the looks of it, local police officers are yet to figure out who the people responsible for this act of animal cruelty are.
