Since display makers seem to be quite serious about moving over to LED backlights, Fujitsu decided to join in on the sentiment, even commemorating the occasion by releasing seven new monitors in the process.

Fujitsu released seven monitors, distributed amongst its B, E and P series of liquid crystal displays.

The largest of the lot is the P27T-6 IPS, a display whose native resolution is of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, while the response time is of 6ms.

It also boasts a DCR (dynamic contrast ratio) of 20,000:1 and a typical brightness of 350 cd/m2.

The apparently second best LCD in the group is the P24W-6 IPS, with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution and a response time of 5ms, plus DCR of 20,000:1 and brightness of 400 cd/m2.

There is also the P23T-6 IPS, also a Full HD monitor, but has a DCR of 2,000,000:1, a brightness of 250 cd/m2 and a response time of 5ms.

There are also three 22-inch products, dubbed E22W-6 LED, B22W-6 LED and B22W-6 LED proGREEN.

They have a resolution of 1,680 x 1,050 pixels, plus a DCR, brightness and response time as the 23-inch model described above.

Finally, the B19-6 LED, a 19-inch model (as the name says), also has the specifications of the 22-inch models, except for the resolution, which is 1,280 x 1,024.

“Whatever the IT system, the display is truly the front end. Businesses who want comfortable viewing performance and power savings will find both in Fujitsu’s updated display line,” said Rajat Kakar, Vice President Workplace Systems at Fujitsu Technology Solutions.

“By migrating to LED backlight technology, we are committing to high environmental and performance standards. In addition to lowered power consumption, LED displays offer a long life cycle, underlining reliability and reducing environmental waste,” he added.

The 19-inch and 22-inch displays use D-Sub and DVI video outputs, while the remaining three come with a DisplayPort connector as well. Pricing details were not included in the press release.
