Comedian recalls two disastrous meetings with The Biebs on Howard Stern

Seth Rogen has a new comedy out in theaters now, “Neighbors,” which also features former Disney star Zac Efron. Speaking to Howard Stern the other day on how he and Efron got along, considering their different backgrounds and experience, Rogen could not help but compare Efron to Justin Bieber.

Let’s just say that Bieber came out with all his feathers ruffled.

The full interview is available on SoundClound but *please note that discretion is heavily recommended because of graphic language that might offend.

You would think that both Efron and Bieber, being teen idols, would have a lot in common but nothing is farther from the truth, Rogen explains. Bieber acts like the entire world is there because it so happens to please him, while Efron is humble and attentive.

To illustrate, the comedian recalls the first time he met Bieber backstage on a German talk show, when Justin’s people asked him to come over to his VIP room to meet. Bieber acted as if he was only coming out to meet Rogen because Rogen had asked him to, and it naturally upset the actor.

“He's a good example of someone you meet, who you think you're going to hate him, and then you get to hate him as much as you thought. You meet him, and he meets up to every one of your [bad] expectations of how you hope he will be,” he explains.

The second time they met was at one of the industry awards shows, where Justin had brought along as an “accessory” a tiny snake, which he kept on display, coiled around his wrist. The memory of it amuses Rogen terribly to this day.

“Justin Bieber had zero percent of that. No humility, no awareness, no sense that, ‘Since I appeal to young, young people, maybe a grown man who works in comedy doesn’t give a [expletive] about me?’,” Rogen rants.

He also calls Justin a piece of [expletive] and many other adjectives that all come preceded by the F-word, and paints a picture of the pop star that is not that different from what celebrity pundits have been saying for some time now: The Biebs, as his fans adoringly call him, is a nightmare to meet in person.

In January, after Bieber was arrested on suspicion of DUI, speeding, and drag racing, Rogen first made his dislike public by posting to his Twitter that “All jokes aside, Justin Bieber is a piece of [expletive].” Clearly, he hasn’t warmed up to the teen pop star yet – assuming he ever will.
