Only a few days since its release and the iPhone already disappoints

Grinches everywhere have reasons to jubilate. Some of the iPhone's customers have risen to complain about the fact that their newly purchased handset has problems with activation.

AT&T declared that most iPhone buyers did not experience such difficulties and that they are currently working on ways to solve the problem for those who can not enjoy their recent purchase. Moreover, the company blamed the fact that a huge number of customers have tried to activate their devices over the weekend. This resulted in an overload of the servers.

An iPhone takes about 5 to 8 minutes to be activated, people at AT&T say. Still, for some clients it took even a few days for this process to happen. Even those who have a corporate account might experience this type of problems, as AT&T needs authorization to switch them to an individual account.

AT&T is currently working on ways to solve this problem for their clients. Still, if the reason for it will prove to be the server overcharge, the situation has high chances of being solved naturally, as the number of new iPhone buyers will not level up to what it has reached in the first days since its release.

It sounds to be quite frustrating to pay the price of USD 500 for the 4GB version of the iPhone and USD 600 for the 8GB one just to find out that the device is useless. Months of dreaming to own, hold and handle such a handset and all that is still out of reach, even after a large sum of money has been spent. Actually, having problems with the Activation Woes means that the phone is nothing but a high-tech brick.

Apple's only phone has been released on the 29th of June in an estimated number of 500,000 units. People lined up in front of carrier stores in order to be among the first ones to own the mobile phone which has generated a real craze at a large scale.
